NEW
VENUE IN ROSKILDE
A new Irish Pub has opened in the centre of Roskilde.
Martin will be playing at Mulligans on 20th August, so come
and check it out!
GLASTONBURY
Martin had A LOT of fun compering the John Peel stage at
Glastonbury festival this year. Thanks to Jim Fox and all
the fabulous crew who made it such a brilliant weekend, and
the bands (particularly loved Mumford and sons, De Staat,
Foals, Sophie Hunger and Dan Mangan) who gave such great
performances.
THE BLACK MAGIC MAN RUNS TO ODENSE
Rasmus
Ellehage (The Black Magic Man) from Fredericia ran from
Fredericia to Odense (76 kilometers I think he said) to the
last MD gig at Eydes Kælder. I'm pretty sure this is a
record. He'll be running in Martin Dale kit with "make mine
a pilsner" on the back in various competitions and was
planning to run up to Norway from Fredericia in August to
the gigs there. Now THAT's mad! However, a virus in the
nervous system has meant that this is not likely to happen
for a while yet. But we wish him a speedy recovery and are
sure that the Black Magic Man will be back!

FIDDLY

Louise's success with Tradish and MD's hectic schedule has
meant that the English Folk project Fiddly D's is put on
the back-burner for a bit.

KILLED THE RADIO STAR - MD TAKES REVENGE

then. Look for the channel "martindaledk". Sometimes it
will be live performances, sometimes silly things,
sometimes music videos and sometimes, as in this case,
photos of fish
WAT
Martin is playing bass for the power-pop combo WAT - will
be supporting Johnny Winter and Back Seat and other warm up
gigs in preparation for a busy 2011
FISK?
The
latest MD album is still available at gigs, and by
email-order and on-line both in CD and download form (click
on the shop button to the left - you know you want to!) and
at selected retail outlets.
Recorded
at Sweet Silence studios and Lydsystemet, it's a mixture of
the acoustic sound of the troubadour show and the full band
sound of Aliens and some wonderful fiddle playing from
Louise Ring Vangsgaard.
Featured are 10 original songs and one
trad.
